About

The shop comes to you

Mobile Mechanic On The Go is an Orillia-based mobile automotive service. The idea is simple: most of what goes wrong with a vehicle can be fixed properly where the vehicle already sits, so there is no good reason to add a tow bill and three days of waiting to the cost of the repair.

Why mobile

A traditional shop has to move your vehicle into a bay, which means you have to get it there, get yourself home, and get back again when it is done. For a battery or an oil change, that logistics chain costs you more time than the repair itself takes.

Working out of a fully equipped service vehicle removes all of that. The diagnostic gear, the tools and the common wear parts are already on board. Your vehicle stays where it is, you carry on with your day, and the work gets done to the same standard it would get on a shop floor — correct torque specs, proper jack stands, no shortcuts.

Who this suits

Commuters who cannot afford to lose a vehicle for two days. Cottage owners whose car has not started since October. Trades and farm operators for whom a truck sitting at a shop is a lost day of work. Anyone stranded on the shoulder of Highway 11 wondering whether they really need a tow.

In practice, most no-starts do not need a tow at all. A battery, a starter, an alternator, a fuse or a relay can all be replaced on site, and that is the majority of the calls that come in.

How we work

You see the old part

Every part that comes off gets shown to you, and the reason it failed gets explained in plain language. No mystery invoices.

The price comes first

You are told what it costs before anything is touched. If the job turns out to be bigger once it is opened up, work stops and you get a call — not a surprise at the end.

Straight answers about limits

Brake, steering and suspension work is not offered, and some repairs genuinely need a hoist, an alignment rack or a licensed inspection station. When that is the case you will be told, not sold something else.

The driveway is left clean

Old parts, packaging, used oil and filters all leave with the van and go for proper recycling. Nothing is left behind.

Broken down, or just out of time?

Call and describe what the vehicle is doing. You will get a straight answer on whether it can be fixed where it sits, roughly what it will cost, and how soon we can be there.
